In 2015, Salvador Salort-Pons was promoted from head of European Art to Director of the D.I.A. Born in Madrid, he has a PhD from the University of Bologna in art history, and an MBA from SMU where he was teaching.

He came to Detroit because of its world class collections and reputation. He will share his goals with us for the museum and its future.
